PRE-ANODIZING

Pre-anodizing is an alternative to common chemical pretreatment methods such as chromating. It achieves better corrosion protection than electroless processes and maintains electrical conductivity. Pre-anodizing represents the highest quality pretreatment for any subsequent painting and powder coating. At GSB (www.gsb-international.de), the highest quality level (GSB-Premium sea proof plus) is only achievable with pre-anodizing.

During pre-anodizing, aluminum alloys are first degreased, then briefly pickled with an alkaline solution, and subsequently electrolytically anodized.

We collaborate with various powder coaters and painters in Austria to ensure that the technical requirements are met.
